As part of the Childrens Day celebrations, our students had the privilege of visiting the legendary actor Mr. Madhu. Rev. Fr. Chacko Puthukulam CMI, the Principal, honoured Mr. Madhu by draping him with a ceremonial shawl and presenting him with a portrait as a token of appreciation and respect.

In connection with Childrens Day Celebration, the Kerala State Child Welfare Committee organized the "Varnolsavam 2024", in which Christ Nagar Public School Senior Secondary, Maranalloor students secured first place in the group dance competition.

The Open Chess Rapid Tournament for Under 17 was held on October 19 at Christ Nagar Public Senior Secondary School, Maranalloor, in collaboration with Sharp Mind Chess Academy and the Thiruvananthapuram Chess Association.

- Under 9: Agasthya A B (Jyothis Central School, Kazhakkoottam)
Our School won the overall award for maximum student participation. Approximately 160 students from over 40 schools in Thiruvananthapuram took part in the event.
Rev. Father Cyriac Madathil CMI presented cash prizes and awards. Rev. Father Chacko Puthukulam CMI, Sri Rajendran Achari, Sri Aji Goodwill (Director , Sharp Mind Chess Academy)and Sri Shaji (FIDE Arbiter) were present at the event .

A vegetable cultivation project was initiated at the school under the auspices of the Nallapadam Nature Club and Seed on Farmers Day.
The primary objective of the programme was to raise awareness among students about the importance and benefits of growing vegetables. The event culminated today with a vibrant harvest festival led by the school Principal, Rev. Fr. Chacko Puthukkulam CMI, who, along with the students and teachers, participated in harvesting the produce. This hands-on experience provided students with valuable insights into sustainable farming practices and the significance of agriculture in everyday life.

An empowerment class was conducted for senior secondary students. Mr.Anish, a Childline Case Worker, spoke on various topics, including child protection laws and rights, development schemes, drug abuse prevention programmes, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The initiative aimed to educate and empower students on these crucial issues.
The session was beneficial for the students. Mrs. Aathira Shankar (School Counsellor) and Mrs. Suchithra V.V. (Academic Coordinator) also attended the programme.
